The Campion Interact Club organised a deeply touching and compassionate visit to Marian Sneha Bhavan, Mamangalam, Cochin—a home that provides comfort and dignity to the destitute—on 08/11/2025. They were warmly welcomed by the staff and briefed about the conditions of a few inmates and many students were moved as they listened to stories of struggle, resilience, and hope.
They joyfully sang together and ceremoniously cut a beautifully decorated cake in celebration of World Kindness Day. These simple acts of kindness created powerful emotional bonds, with the residents’ smiles and gratitude becoming the greatest reward for the students.
The club also donated essential items such as groceries, toiletries, clothes, and snacks, all of which were received with deep appreciation. The staff of Marian Sneha Bhavan shared the challenges involved in caring for the destitute and highlighted the need for ongoing community support. This heartfelt message encouraged the students to reflect on the privileges they often take for granted.
The visit proved to be an emotionally profound and eye-opening experience, instilling in them a renewed sense of empathy, gratitude and responsibility toward society. Inspired by the smiles and stories they witnessed, the Campion Interact Club hopes to continue such meaningful outreach programmes in the future.
