A Joyous Celebration of Onam 2026
Champion School, celebrated Onam 2026 with great enthusiasm and festive spirit on Friday, 21st August 2026. The celebration beautifully showcased the rich cultural traditions and heritage of Kerala.
The programme began with an invocation by the School Choir, followed by the welcome speech delivered by Master Roopak Rishikesh. Kumari Sreeya Umesh introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. Latha Nair, Retired Professor, Department of English, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, who delivered an inspiring Onam message.
The celebration featured a variety of traditional and cultural performances. The School Choir presented the Onapattu, while students performed Thiruvathira and other captivating dance performances. A colourful procession added to the festive atmosphere, followed by an energetic Vanchippattu performance.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Director, Dr. K. V. Thomas and Dean and Senior Principal, Dr. Leelamma Thomas, whose presence added significance to the celebration.
The programme also included a prize distribution ceremony, honouring the achievements and talents of the students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem.
The Onam celebration was a memorable occasion that brought together students, teachers and the entire school community, celebrating the true spirit of Onam -unity, happiness, tradition and togetherness.
