Smart Choices, Bright Futures” – Anti-Drug Awareness Seminar
Campion School conducted an Anti-Drug Awareness Seminar titled “Smart Choices, Bright Futures” for the students of Class XI on 17th September 2026. The session aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of making responsible, healthy, and informed choices.
The resource person, Sooraj Kumar M. B., SI of Police, DHQ Kochi City, is currently serving as the Assistant District Nodal Officer for Social Policing Projects, Kerala Police. He was honoured with the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2010.
The seminar was highly informative and engaging. The resource person shared real-life incidents from his experience with the Kerala Police, highlighting the hardships faced by individuals affected by drug addiction and its devastating impact on their families, education, relationships, and society. His experiences helped students understand the serious consequences of substance abuse and the importance of staying away from addictive substances.
The session concluded with a strong message that wise decisions, positive habits, and a responsible approach to life can pave the way for a safer, healthier, and brighter future.
