Reading Day Celebration: Inspiring a Lifelong Love for Reading

In remembrance of the visionary Indian historian K. N. Panicker, Reading Day was observed on June 19^th, marking the beginning of a week-long celebration dedicated to fostering a love for reading among students.

The celebrations were formally inaugurated by Dean and Senior Principal, Dr. Leelamma Thomas, who encouraged students to embrace reading as a lifelong habit that enriches knowledge, imagination, and character.

A variety of engaging activities were organised throughout the week to promote literary appreciation and reading habits. Students enthusiastically participated in events such as reading-related quizzes, the Character Parade, the READATHON (Reading Marathon Challenge), Letter Writing to a Favourite Book Character, and an exciting Library Treasure Hunt.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the dedicated reading time, during which both students and teachers came together to read, reinforcing the joy of shared reading and lifelong learning.

The Reading Week celebrations successfully inspired students to explore the world of books, nurtured their imagination, and strengthened the school's commitment to developing confident, curious, and enthusiastic readers.
