Onam, Kerala’s most cherished festival, was celebrated at Campion School with splendour, grace, and cultural magnificence. The day resonated with festive joy, traditional elegance, and the spirit of unity. The celebration was graced by the distinguished presence of Commodore K. M. Thomas (Rtd.), Former Commanding Officer of INS Garuda Naval Air Station, Kochi. The Director, Dr. K. V. Thomas, along with Mrs. Leelamma Thomas, Dean and Senior Principal, lent warmth and inspiration, making the day even more memorable.

The programme unfolded with a vibrant medley of cultural expressions. The school choir rendered melodious Onam songs that filled the hall with serenity, while the thunderous Chenda Melam enthralled the gathering, echoing the heartbeat of Kerala’s traditions. The audience was further captivated by Pulikkali, the symbolic playfulness of tigers, and the graceful Thiruvathirakali, where dancers swayed rhythmically to traditional tunes.
The majestic Onam procession led by the iconic figure of Mahabali, along with the nostalgic boat song Kuttanadan Kunjayile, transformed the event into a living canvas of Kerala’s cultural heritage. Soulful Nadan Pattu, spirited competitions, and a grand prize distribution added to the festive charm. This year’s Onam at Campion was truly a radiant tribute to Kerala’s timeless traditions — blending culture, joy, and youthful spirit.
