Empowering Young Minds Through Anti-Drug Awareness
The Rotary Club of Cochin Lords organised an Anti-Drug Awareness Seminar on 15 October 2026. The programme featured an enlightening session by Mr. Vivek Vasudevan Nair, Superintendent of Customs (Preventive), who sensitised students to the dangers of drug abuse and highlighted the importance of making informed and responsible choices.
The session shed light on the harmful effects of substance abuse on physical health, mental well-being and society. It emphasised the significance of awareness, self-discipline and the ability to resist negative influences, encouraging students to embrace healthy lifestyles and make positive decisions.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to interact with the resource person, ask questions and clarify their doubts regarding substance abuse and its consequences. This interactive engagement helped deepen their understanding of the issue and reinforced the importance of staying vigilant and making responsible choices.
The seminar served as a meaningful platform for educating and empowering young minds to recognise the risks associated with drug abuse and contribute towards building a safer, healthier and drug-free society. Reinforcing the message “A Healthier Youth, A Brighter Tomorrow,” the initiative encouraged students to become informed, confident and responsible individuals committed to a brighter future.
