Beyond the Sky: Celebrating India’s Remarkable Space Journey

The National Space Day Programme was organised with great enthusiasm to celebrate India’s remarkable achievements in space exploration and to inspire young minds to dream beyond the boundaries of the sky.

The programme was compered by the students and commenced with the formal inauguration by Dr. Leelamma Thomas, Dean and Senior Principal. This was followed by the unveiling of 15 thoughtfully curated posters, chronicling India’s inspiring journey in space exploration.

Adding a creative dimension to the celebration, the students presented an engaging time-travel sequence that took the audience through some of India’s landmark space missions and future aspirations. The presentation showcased achievements such as Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan, while also highlighting India’s ambitious Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission.

The programme continued with an informative and inspiring speech on Bharatiya Antriksha, followed by the announcement of the upcoming quiz and crossword competitions. These activities aim to encourage students to explore and enhance their knowledge of space science and India’s contributions to the field.

Dr. Leelamma Thomas appreciated the students and teachers for their sincere efforts, creativity and hard work in organising the programme. Her words of encouragement added further significance to the celebration.
